Safety Tips
Your safety matters
Following these tips can help make rentals safer and avoid misunderstandings between renters and lenders.
Pickup, delivery & handover
- Coordinate the date, time and handover details in advance using in-app messaging, whether you are meeting for pickup or arranging delivery.
- Choose a safe, agreed-upon location for pickup, delivery and return.
- Super Neighbor does not provide delivery. Only proceed with a delivery arrangement you are comfortable with.
- If anything feels unclear or uncomfortable, take a moment to clarify before proceeding.
Item inspection
- Inspect the item at handover and return to ensure it matches the listing and is in good working condition, whether the handover is a pickup or a delivery.
- Uploading photos or videos before and after the rental is recommended for both parties.
- Upload them through the platform so they are linked to the rental and their upload time is recorded.
- Platform uploads can help document the item’s condition and support a claim if an issue arises.
- Do not accept or continue using an item that appears unsafe.
Exchange confirmation
- Swipe only after the item has been physically handed over, including after a delivery.
- At return, the lender should swipe only after receiving and checking the item.
- Never confirm an exchange or return that has not happened.
Safe use guidance
- Make sure you understand how to use the item safely before using it.
- Lenders should provide any necessary usage, handling and safety instructions.
- Follow the lender’s and manufacturer’s instructions and use appropriate protective equipment when needed.
- Use the item responsibly and stop using it if it becomes damaged, unsafe or unreliable.
In-app communication
- Keep communication within the platform for clarity and traceability.
- Confirm important details, including dates, handover (pickup or delivery), condition and instructions, before and after the rental.
- Ask questions if anything is unclear.
- Report changes, delays or problems promptly.
Reporting issues
If an incident requires emergency assistance, contact the appropriate services before reporting it through the platform.
Report damage, loss, non-return or safety concerns through Report a rental issue in the rental details, or through Need Help? in Help & Support, as soon as possible.
Claims must be submitted within the deadline stated in the Terms of Service.
Submit available photos, videos, messages and other supporting information through the platform.
Super Neighbor provides communication, exchange-confirmation and issue-reporting tools but does not physically inspect, maintain or supervise the use of rented items.
